Maddy Terms of Service
Effective date: May 28, 2026
These terms explain the basic rules for using Maddy, a scheduling assistant from MaddyLabs. By using Maddy, you agree to use it responsibly and understand that scheduling automation can still make mistakes.
What Maddy Does
Maddy helps turn messages, screenshots, tasks, routines, reminders, and calendar requests into structured planning actions. Depending on your permissions and the request, Maddy may create, move, update, delete, or clarify calendar events and reminders.
Accounts and Permissions
Maddy requires account identity to keep calendar actions, screenshot limits, future collaboration features if offered, subscriptions, support, abuse prevention, and data deletion requests connected to the right user. Maddy may use Sign in with Apple or another supported account method for authentication. Calendar, notification, camera, and photo-related access only work after you grant permission. You are responsible for your device, account, and the information you choose to send to Maddy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Maddy to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, abusive, or rights-infringing content.
- Send screenshots or messages you do not have the right to process.
- Abuse usage limits, rate limits, backend systems, or subscription checks.
- Use Maddy for emergencies, medical decisions, legal deadlines, or other high-risk situations where a mistake could cause serious harm.
- Interfere with Maddy, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or try to access another person's data.
Calendar Actions
Maddy tries to make scheduling fast, but you are responsible for reviewing important calendar changes. Clear low-risk typed requests may be handled directly. Deletes, conflicts, uncertain changes, and destructive actions ask first. Clear low-risk screenshots may be added automatically when permissions and settings allow it. If Maddy is missing details or finds a conflict, it asks first.
Events created by Maddy remain in Apple Calendar until you delete them. Deleting Maddy does not automatically delete events already saved to your calendar.
AI and Accuracy
Maddy uses AI and app logic to interpret planning requests. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, and Maddy does not guarantee that every event, time, location, recurrence, participant, or conflict will be detected perfectly.
Free and Premium Plans
Maddy has a free plan with usage limits and plans to offer Premium subscriptions through the App Store when subscriptions are available. The free limits are 25 messages per day, 3 screenshot uploads per week, basic scheduling, tasks, and routines. Premium is priced at $6.99/month or $39.99/year and includes more messages, up to 20 screenshots daily, smarter planning and personalization, and future collaboration features if offered.
Premium purchases will be handled through Apple. Final pricing and purchase terms will be shown in the app before purchase.
Data Deletion and Termination
You can stop using Maddy at any time, revoke app permissions in Settings, or use Delete Maddy Data in the app to ask Maddy's backend to delete account, usage, pending screenshot, notification, entitlement, and related records connected to your Maddy identity.
MaddyLabs may restrict or stop access if the service is abused, used unlawfully, or used in a way that risks harming the product or other users.
No Warranty
Maddy is provided as is and as available. MaddyLabs does not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect parsing, perfect calendar correctness, or that the service will meet every scheduling need.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, MaddyLabs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including missed events, incorrect calendar entries, lost data, or lost opportunities.
Changes
These terms may be updated as Maddy changes. If changes are important, MaddyLabs may notify users in the app or on the website.
